Content: Signal Corps U.S.A.; 16445 [typewritten on separate paper] Chapter XXI - 16. In Vaux as in other places on the tormented Western Front, a crucifix alone remained unbroken amid the ruins all around. (Vaux is close to the famous Bois de la Marine or Belleau Wood.)
