Ownership: Written for a member of the La Twyere family or for the hospital founded by them at Holderness, Yorkshire. Given by Lady Middleton to Thomas, Lord Fairfax. John Broadley sale to John Wilks. 4th Earl of Ashburnham. Henry Yates Thompson, sold to Quaritch.

Content: Historiated initial at each psalm, often with painted design extending into border. Alternating 1-line blue and gold initials with blue and red penwork. Blue, red and gold linefillers. Gold and silver capitals at openings of main text divisions.
Content: Deaths of members of De la Twyere family are recorded in calendar, the last is Peter in 1304. Sandler dates this manuscript to after 1304 - c. 1310. Marginalia in post-1600 hand. Strips of silk sewn over initials.
Content: On ff. 9-14v, calendar; on ff. 230v-267, the 6 OT canticles, Te Deum, Benedicite, the 3 NT canticles, Nicene Creed, Gloria, Pater noster, Credo, penitential psalms by cue, litany, prayers, office of the dead with psalms by cue, use of Rouen?
Content: 18 long lines, ruled in ink. Prickings and catchwords visible, although catchwords often mostly lost to trimming. Collation: gatherings of 12 are the norm for the main portion of the manuscript, ff. 15-241 (I-VI#^12#; VII#^11#; VIII-XIX#^12#).
