Notes
Content: Partial translation: 'Benefit performance for a young man of twenty-three who has been gravely ill for the past two years. The doctors insist that he travel to a warm clime and stay there; he can remain in these parts no longer. We will not publish the name of the young man since he comes from a respectable family. It should suffice for the worthy public to see the names on the committee that is sponsoring this performance to know that the cause is worthy. The committee includes Dr. Radin, Dr. Solotaroff, and Mr. Isadore Saks. We will be staging the scintillating melodrama, The Bowery Bum, by Rudolph Marks, Esq. The following artists will appear in this production: Mme. Feinman, Miss Sabina Weinblatt, Mr. M. Rosenthal. After the performance Mr. Max Rosenthal will perform The Guiltless Murder, directed and written especially for him by Jacob Gordin.'
