Content : Listed in De Ricci, Seymour, Census of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts in the United States and Canada. New York. N.Y.: H.W. Wilson, 1935; and Supplement, New York, N.Y.: Bibliographical Society of America, 1962.

Ownership : Signature of W. Temple; gift from William Longley to John Lee, according to inscription; John Lee's bookplate. Given by I. N. Phelps Stokes in 1937.

Content : De Ricci, Supplement, 329. Chart by Dr. G.B. Guest.

Content : Manuscript is foliated 1-6, and then 1-225. First vellum leaf is not part of 12-folio quire structure, and thus is classed with first iv leaves. Folios 26-29 (numbered 20-23) are not vellum, but a rough woven substance, perhaps a kind of cloth?

Content : 40 lines in two columns, ruled in pencil, with prickings, catchwords, and quire numbers visible.

Content : Opening initial decorated with figure of grotesque.

Content : 7-line opening intial in red, blue, green, gold. Throughout, openings of main sections have large (3-lin, 5-line etc) initials in these colors. Also, 2-line red and blue initials with opposing penwork, and 1-line red and blue placemarkers. Rubrics.

Content : Sources disagree as to place and date this was written. De Ricci, Supplement, says England, early 15th century. Dr. Guest's chart says France?, perhaps Paris?, 13th century.

Content : Important for binding; 15th c. Cambridge "Demon Binder," blind stamped with identifiable stamps.
