Description
"It is now with much pleasure that we give an Engraving of a Captain, Quartermaster, Sergeant-Major, and Private in full parade uniform, and which is, without doubt, one of the most handsome, serviceable, and martial-looking of the now numerous volunteer corps. The tunics and trousers are of dark green, the former faced with red and black braid, the latter having a broad black braid at the seams. The helmet is of felt, and of graceful form, with black horsehair plumes for the men and feathers of scarlet and black for the officers. The ornaments of the helmet, crossbelt, waistbelt, &c., are gilt."--from source text.
