Description
Two soldiers from the Egyptian army, probably foreign mercenaries or auxiliaries. The man at left is armed with a battle axe and javelin, the one at right carries a bow. Both wear cloth or leather skull-caps (one with a feather in it) and have small knives tucked in their belts. Their loin wraps mark them as foreigners, as does their being shown separately; Egyptian soldiers are usually shown in linen kilts and marching in formation.
