Notes
Content: Printed on border: "Sulphur springs of New York." "Deep in the bosom of New York there are vast reservoirs of mineral waters of almost every kind -- saline, aperient, alkaline, chalybeate, acidulous, and sulphureous ; warm and cold, perennial, intermittent, reciprocating, ebulient, and inflammable. To tell of all these -- their healing virtues, their charms as social centres or fashion's courts, and their myriad associations, spreading like gleams of light over the land -- would require the pages of a plethoric quarto." Includes additional text.
Source note: Harper's magazine. (New York : Harper Brothers, 1850-).
