Content: Description lettered in Latin below image. In English: 230. The palace of Decebalus, King of Dacia, now occupied by Roman Emperor Trajan. 231. This shows the royal palace gate, surmounted by a statue of Jupiter, which has been put up in place of the Dacian deities which once guarded the place. There is an arch in honor of Trajan, with a statue of Hercules, to whom Trajan was devoted above all other gods. 232. The lantern shows that this is happening at night. 233. Three legionary insignia, as used by the cavalry, are ornamented with eagles, just as are the bows of the ships. 235. Emperor Trajan.
