Content: Summary: A train conductor questions a seven-year-old girl as to why she can't pay the fare; she's going to ask the governor for a pardon for her father, incarcerated for commiting a crime while under the influence of alcohol, but who is now going blind. The conductor leads her to the governor who, at the pleading of his own daughter, grants the pardon.
