Description
Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project in performance in Istanbul. Baryshnikov dances with Rob Besserer in "Stille Nacht" and performs solo in "Pergolesi". A string quartet plays the musical interlude between performances. "Stille Nacht" starts at the very end of the work and includes the curtain call. There are several edits to condense time. Overall visual quality is fine, though works performed in low lighting obscure facial expressions and small gestures. Baryshnikov is obscured when the audience rises into the camera sight line during a standing ovation, from approximately 31:03-32:43.
