Sound quality is good overall. The interviews with June Arey and Robin Howard are marred by extraneous noise. However, the speakers' voices are easily intelligible.

Interview with Alvin H. Reiss and Charles Reinhart conducted by Marian Horosko (approximately ten minutes); interview with Julia Arey conducted by Alvin H. Reiss at the National Dance Conference (approximately three minutes), and interview with Robin Howard conducted by Marian Horosko at the National Dance Conference (approximately three minutes), for broadcast by radio station WNYC-FM, New York on its series The world of dance, on July 21, 1966. The National Dance Conference was held on June 1-3, 1966, in New York City. Horosko states that a portion of the speech given by Martha Graham at the Conference will be aired, but it was omitted from this recording. Streaming file (first approximately 9:50 minutes). Marian Horosko introduces her guests, Alvin H Reiss and Charles Reinhart; Reiss and Reinhart speak about the newly-formed Association of American Dance Companies including its inauguration at the National Dance Conference held on June 1 -3 [1966]; supporters of the new Association including the National Endowment for the Arts; its purposes, goals, and anticipated activities. Streaming file (from approximately 10:00 minutes to 13:00 minutes). Alvin H. Reiss, as host, introduces his guest June Arey; June Arey speaks about her work as Program Evaluator at the National Endowment for the Arts, in particular with respect to the National Dance Conference and the formation of a new service organization for dance companies [the Association of American Dance Companies], including what she sees as the purpose and role of such an organization. Marian Horosko introduces her guest Robin Howard; Howard speaks about his efforts to create a school in London, England to teach Martha Graham's work; the absence of professional modern or contemporary dance in England and hence the need and desire for such a school; [Horosko's closing remarks].
