Following the rehearsal, Balanchine is seen from the back, working on a step with Fedorova.

Content: Recorded at New York State Theater, New York, on January 4, 1977 (La source) and January 6, 1977 (Brahms-Schoenberg quartet). Onstage rehearsal in practice clothes, with piano accompaniment.
Creation/production credits: Choreography: George Balanchine.
Performers: Danced by members of the New York City Ballet.
Funding: Preservation of this video was supported by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
