Description
This is an oral reading of Parts 3-5 of the first draft of Louis Armstrong story, read by George Avakian (sitting by the piano). Louis Armstrong's autobiography was later published by Da Capo Press in 1954, called "Satchmo: my life in New Orleans". There was some audio about Armstrong's days in Chicago in the 1920s (Part 4-5), but they did not include it in final draft of "Satchmo".
