Description
Documentary on the Young Talent Search and Training Program, organized by ArtsConnection in collaboration with New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs, Board of Education, and Youth Board. The program provides opportunities for children from public elementary schools to train in dance or circus techniques (e.g., acrobatics, rope dancing) at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center or the New York School for Circus Arts/Big Apple Circus. The documentary traces the students' progress from auditions to classes and private lessons. Interviews with children, parents, and instructors provide insights into their respective expectations and aspirations.
