Biographical/historical: La fille du Danube (choreography, Filippo Taglioni; music, Adolphe Adam) was first performed at the Paris Opéra in 1836. Its scenery was credited to Pierre Luc Charles Cicéri, Edouard Désiré Joseph Desplechin, Jules Pierre Michel Diéterle, Léon Feuchères, and Charles Séchan.
Biographical/historical: This print was published in the Parisian journal Le monde dramatique. The Bibliothèque Nationale de France holds a copy of this print with the heading "La vogue universelle."
