Abstract

Robert Moses (1888-1981) was an American public official and urban planner who played a major role in the development of the New York Metropolitan area and New York State in the 20th century. The Robert Moses papers span 1907 to 1980, covering Moses' professional life leading public authorities. The papers detail the development of highways, bridges, tunnels, parks, infrastructure, and housing throughout New York City and State.
