It often combined sensational headlines, local gossip, and cheesecake pictures of showgirls with the more mundane articles and photos of society people, entertainers, and social functions. Much of the magazine's coverage was Harlem, though it also featured Philadelphia and Atlantic City sections, and carried regional columns for readers in New Jersey, upstate New York, the Midwest, New England, and the Mid-Atlantic states.
