Abstract
Depictions of individuals, school activities, social events, and campus buildings related to the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute, in Tuskegee, Alabama, from the mid-1900s to the mid 1920s. The collection consists of studio portraits of Tuskegee officials; group portraits of school educators, trustees, students, and visiting dignitaries; views of student assemblies, processions, arrivals of school visitors, and official gatherings; views of class and workshop instruction that include construction projects, electrical and industrial work, and farming; and exterior views of campus administrative, instructional and residential buildings, as well as former plantation dwellings.
