Lange, Jan de Later, Pieter de Mare, Pieter Quast, William Say, Pieter Schenck, Josef Selb, Wilhelm Steelink, W. Vaillant, H. Visjager, and unidentified printmakers. Artists include Bega, A. Brouwer, G. Dou, Liss, Metsu, Mieris, Steen, Van Penen, C. Visscher, Vois and others.
Content: Prints depict smoking, particularly in taverns where there is also drinking, card and game playing, reading, music, and men and women in amorous situations. There are also domestic scenes, showing families around the hearth, and men and women sitting together at tables. Also included is a print of monkeys in clothing, smoking, and a portrait of Jan Steen standing next to a self-portrait.
