The purpose of their trip to Washington is to tender deeds of trust to their land to Secretary of the Interior Fisher hoping in this way to substitute Federal Laws for the State Laws under which they are now governed and which are extremely lax in regards to the importation of liquor on their lands. Our photo shows the Indians on the steps of the U. S. Pension Building where they were cordially received by Commissioner Valentine of the Pension Office
