Notes
Biographical/historical: Julia Conyers was born in 1781 or 1782, the daughter of John Conyers, a well known sportsman and the "Master of the Essex Hunt." Upon Julia's birth, the Conyerses had resided at Copt (now Copped) Hall, Essex, England, for several generations. On 27 August 1811 she married Captain John Astley Bennet (1778-1812) of the Royal Navy. On 19 May 1819 she married the politician John Wrottesley (1771-1841), who was advanced to the House of Lords in 1838 with the title of Baron Wrottesley of Wrottesley. The Dowager Lady Wrottesley died at Clifton, near Bristol, on 29 September 1860, at age 78. She was buried at Tettenhall, in Wolverhampton.
