Content: Each fasc. contains 10 plates mounted or tipped onto sheets that are printed with the plate no. (1-60) at foot. In the first fasc. are 2 bifolia in Russian and French respectively with t.p. and lists of all 60 titles. Fasc. 1-5 additionally have sheets listing titles of the 10 plates each contains in both Russian and French (that for the 6th fasc. may be missing).
Date: The folders bear the date 1895, rather than 1896 which appears on the title pages.
Date: The drawings reproduced bear dates from 1858-1862, the years of Horschelt's travels with the Russian army in the Caucasus.
