Content: Foliation is incorrect, as it skips the first four folios, thus going to only 104. Here, correct and existing foliation will be given. f.1 has paper page pasted to the outside.
Ownership: Label with unidentified engraved coat of arms on f. i (verso). Purchased for Spencer and accessioned 1947.

Content: Blue and gold initials and placemarkers with red or black penwork. Larger blue and red initials on painted fields, accompanying miniatures.
Content: Dated ca.1450 in dossier and catalog.
Content: Catalog attributes this work to Geraldus de Bari, or Geraldus Cambrensis (1146-1221). Note in dossier comments that while this is identified as Joannes Wallensis' "Breviloquium" it is rather an anonymous work which was printed with the "Breviloquium."
Content: Four full-page miniatures representing the four cardinal virtues.
