Notes
Content: Print shows the Duke of St. Albans being measured by a tailor, while the Duchess, large and moustached, places a feather in his cap, saying "Oh! my dearest Billy Beau! 'Tis money makes the man you know." A footman enters from the left, saying "Your grace, Mr. Tightfit, the stay maker, is here." On the wall are hung two pictures, one of Mrs. Coutts in bed, titled, "Heigho for a husband"; and one of "Charles 2 & Nell Gwyn." At the Duke's feet are cards and dice; behind the Duchess are large money bags, one marked "£30,000," and a comedy mask. The verses beneath the title begin, "Kings may boast of their efforts in making of Dukes / But those sages may try if they can / With their planning and scheming and practice to boot, / Without money to make me a man."
