Content: "This item appeared as Lot 39 of the Sotheby Browning Sale on 5 May 1913. It was purchased by Sotheran for £10.10 and advertised in their catalogues 753 and 737. "K.C.B." is thought to be Katherine [sic] Coleman Bronson, friend and hostess of Browning in his later years in Asolo and Venice.
