Erik Bruhn speaks with John Gruen about Rudolf Nureyev; Ninette de Valois and his reluctance to work with the Royal Ballet; Maria Tallchief and her introducing Nureyev to him including the occasion of their first meeting; his and Nureyev's relationship with Tallchief [ends abruptly but continues on streaming file 2].
Content: Streaming file 2 (approximately 35 minutes). Erik Bruhn continues to speak with John Gruen about Maria Tallchief; discusses Rudolf Nureyev including their taking class together and their friendly competiveness; his first time seeing Nureyev perform; Nureyev's recent professional choices as explicable for a male dancer who is approaching the age of 40; their friendship over the year.

Sound quality is poor to fair. Volume is low, and often the speakers are intelligible only with some difficulty.
