Abstract

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of Anne Frank, NPR's Scott Simon has a special segment about her life and the diary that has become one of the most influential books of the century. Includes excerpts from the diary narrated by various children and teenagers, and brief interviews with Frank's childhood friends, a member of Anne Frank Foundation, American writer Judy Blum, and others.
