Abstract

Jacques D'Amboise and Gerald Arpino discuss their careers and the importance of dance. Arpino talks about meeting Robert Joffrey, the inception of the Joffrey Ballet, Joffrey leaving the artistic direction to Arpino and problems with the Joffrey Ballet board members trying to take over, and Joffrey Ballet's annual Nutcracker. D'Amboise talks about his National Dance Institute and bringing awareness of the arts to all children.
