Description
Segments focusing on various aspects of arts in education and its importance. "Fourscore..." profiles ArtsPower founders Mark and Gary Blackman's about the "message plays" their company brings to schools, including their most recent piece "Fourscore and Seven Years Ago". Teen Arts covers the annual Teen Arts Festival, a visual and performance art showcase where teens can display their talents, get feedback from professionals, and also explore arts they may not necessarily be exposed to otherwise. Why Dance? profiles Jacques d'Amboise, the National Dance Institute, and the organization's work in area schools. Between segments, the host and Willa Spencer (Director of Instruction, South Brunswick Schools), elaborate on aspects of each segment and discuss the larger topic of arts in education.
