Content: Bound in red morocco with a gusseted fold-over front cover which forms an interior pocket, and closes with a clasp. In a small envelope within the interior pocket is a lock of brown hair curled around a black wax seal bearing a rebus translating to "I expect a return"; the hair and seal are within a folded scrap of paper bearing the initials "H[arriet]. G[rove]." Whether the hair is Shelley's or Grove's is unknown.
