Streaming audio file (approximately one hour and 18 minutes). Maude Lloyd, with occasional comments from Nigel Gosling, speaks about her early ballet training in London; her first meeting with Antony Tudor; his first ballet, Twelfth Night [Cross-gartered; created for Ballet Club]; performing in Tudor's early works, for television; his Descent of Hebe [created for Ballet Club]; the relationship between Tudor and Marie Rambert; the London Ballet; his Lilac garden including his choreographic process; Gosling and Lloyd speak about Hugh Laing; Tudor's Judgment of Paris including the cast; his Dark elegies; Gosling and Lloyd speak about how they first met and eventually married [short gap at approximately 48:10 minutes]; Tudor as a person and as a choreographer; Lloyd speaks about dancing for Marie Rambert; an anecdote about Frederick Ashton; Ballet Rambert during World War II; Lloyd's retiring from dancing; Lloyd and Gosling speak about Natalia Makarova in Tudor's ballets; her profoundly Russian quality, in particular as compared with Rudolf Nureyev; Hugh Laing's current activities, including his recent illness; Kenneth MacMillan and his admiration for Tudor; a possible collaboration between Tudor and Gian Carlo Menotti.
