Begins abruptly; host Simon Fanshawe introduces the program, recorded from the Edinburgh Festival; Fanshawe introduces the segment on Mark Morris Dance Group and the performance of Allegro, il penseroso ed il moderato (1988); Mark Morris comments on his Allegro; Jann Perry, dance critic for the Observer, comments on Allegro; Fanshawe introduces the segment on the Richard Demarco European Art Foundation's exhibit for the festival, "Bridging the gaps"; Richard Demarco describes Mustafa Skopljak's sculpture installation; Demarco speaks about how political conflicts and wars, (especially the Serbian and Bosnian conflict), impact the Festival participants, as well as how art is used to counter the conflicts; Derek Malcolm, film critic for the Guardian, comments on how the Festival gives exposure to young filmmakers; Malcolm tells an anecdote about initial reactions beween the directors from Sarajevo, Bosnia, and those from Serbia, showing films in the Festival; Malcolm speaks about feature films in the Festival from Australia: the Adventures of Priscilla, queen of the desert, and Muriel's wedding; Fanshawe speaks with Albanian musicians playing at the Festival's Cafe Graffiti, [Adi Mumayasi?] and [Vladimir?], about modern and traditional music in Albania; Patrick Mason comments on his direction of J.M.
