CONTENTS. - Freestyle clogging. Bob Phillips, caller. Facilitator: Dr. Gail Matthews, McKissick Museum, University of South Carolina. In a brief interview with Matthews, Phillips, a member of the Rough Creek Cloggers of Canton, North Carolina, defines freestyle clogging as a form in which no two dancers interpret the music alike, as opposed to precision clogging (see *MGZIC 9-2287 cassette 6), in which the dancers move as one. The group demonstrates this type of clogging and invites the audience to join in.
