Interview with Cynthia Gregory conducted by Walter Terry on August 17,1972 in Becket, Massachusetts. Streaming audio file (approximately 40 minutes). Cynthia Gregory speaks with Walter Terry about spending time in the country with her husband Terry Orr; class and its relation to performance, including her tendency to focus on certain aspects of her technique; working on her jump, in particular for the role of Myrta in Giselle; her reasons for preferring the role of Giselle; her approach to the role of Giselle including how performing in [Birgit Cullberg's] Miss Julie helped her with Giselle's mad scene; balances including her use of different approaches depending on the role; her physical preparation for [José Limón's] The moor's pavanne; her feelings about her recent successes; her personal life including more on her husband; her favorite composers; her thoughts on her future.
