Cynthia Gregory speaks with Walter Terry about spending time in the country with her husband Terry Orr; class and its relation to performance, including her tendency to focus on certain aspects of her technique; working on her jump, in particular for the role of Myrta in Giselle; her reasons for preferring the role of Giselle; her approach to the role of Giselle including how performing in [Birgit Cullberg's] Miss Julie helped her with Giselle's mad scene; balances including her use of different approaches depending on the role; her physical preparation for [José Limón's] The moor's pavanne; her feelings about her recent successes; her personal life including more on her husband; her favorite composers; her thoughts on her future.
