Abstract

The program hosted by J. Parrott covers major domestic and world-wide political and economic events presented and discussed by commentators David Anable, Rob Nelson, Janet Domowitz, Gloria Goodale, David Francis, Sara Terry and a few others whose names are not verified. The topics include a report on the farming crisis in the USA; economy in the USA; events in the Middle East; election turmoil in Pakistan; the effects of the war in Afghanistan; Islamization of certain regions; the Pentagon budget; the role of courts and the importance of jurists commented on by Judge Rose Bird; the structure of The Lagan College in Ireland that is based on the integration of Catholics and Protestants; thoughts on the essence of Black History Month by Rev. Gomes; in view of the approaching holiday President's Day, citations by Abraham Lincoln on his value of elocution and ability to form thoughts and by George Washington on the Delaware crossing; and other current news. At the end of the 1st part, pianist Andre Watts speaks about his experiences and concerts and touches upon the issue of stereotyping musicians.
