Description
A minEvent especially created for a single site-specific performance at Beloit College, Wisconsin. The beginning of the file consists of an image of the main menu of the original DVD, with music playing. Following this, the presentation begins with an introduction by Bonnie Brooks, though the first portion of this is heard over an image of the original DVD submenu. (4:07) As the introduction, followed by a poetry reading, continues, the image switches to a static shot of the dance performance space as audience members wait for the performance to begin. Both the introduction and poetry presentation are heard offscreen, but the speakers cannot be seen, and it is often difficult to clearly hear what is being said, due to acoustics present in the space. Following this, the dancers take the stage, and the MinEvent continues until the end of the running time (33:35).
