Part 1. Philip Sterling, the long-time writer and public relations executive for the Columbia Broadcasting System, interviews the first Black New York City police officer and close friend to Bert Williams Sam Battle. The interview covers Battle's personal and professional achievements and memories of Williams, one of the Vaudeville era's pre-eminent Black entertainers. Part 2. Radio announcement of upcoming programs. Part 3. Interview with an unidentified woman.
