Sammy Cahn, an American lyricist, songwriter and musician, known for his romantic lyrics to films and Broadway songs, recounts the beginning of his career as a violin player, stories about other musicians he worked with, his collaboration with Saul Chaplin, an American composer and musical director, accounts surrounding the creation of many famous and popular songs and their creators, his experiences with recording companies and people in this industry, and details about music business in the 30s and 40s.
