Description
Disc 1 and 2, tracks 1-5. American film, television and theater actress Gloria Grahame discusses her life and career in the entertainment industry, her family background, marriages and divorces, and various productions where she played supporting and leading roles such as The bad and the beautiful (1952), directed by Vincente Minnelli, In a lonely place (1950), and The greatest show on earth (1952). She talks about her preparation for playing in a London revival of Tennessee Williams' The glass menagerie (1981). With great appreciation she recalls her mother [Jean Grahame], who was a British stage actress and acting teacher, and helped her to establish her career as a performer. She also shares her experience working with various directors and producers, collaboration with many prominent actors such as Humphrey Bogart and others. Disc 2, tracks 6-10. Arthur Bell interviews unidentified clerk who works at local supermarket.
