Description
Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project perform in Past Forward, a tribute to and celebration of Judson Dance. In most versions, live works alternate with video sequences created by Charles Atlas and narrated by Baryshnikov. In this recording, Volume I begins at end of Baryshnikov's narration. Volume II begins several lines earlier, but it is not the full piece. Also, most recordings bracket each live performance with a quick video description by its choreographer. This recording includes that device only occasionally. Overall visual quality fine, though the camera angle creates a long period of darkness during Volume II's "Exit". "Satisfyin Lover" and "Exit" appear in both volumes.
