Sound quality is good overall. The recording is marred by extraneous noise including an unrelated conversation being conducted in the vicinity of the interview.

Interview with Rochelle Zide conducted by Jack Anderson on May 21, 1977. Streaming audio file 1 (approximately 52 minutes). Rochelle Zide speaks with Jack Anderson about joining the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo; the great variation with respect to the dancers' technical ability and physical type; Igor Youskevitch; Frederic Franklin; the lack of artistic direction and teachers; Franklin's reasons for leaving the company; Leonide Massine including his working style; symphonic ballets including Massine's Harold in Italy; the difficulties in staging Massine's ballets today; Antonio Cobos; Hans Rosen and his ballet Dame à la licorne [Lady and the unicorn]; Boris Romanoff's ballet Harlequinade including Alicia Alonso's and Igor Youskevitch's wonderful performances; Salvador Juárez's ballet Tragedy at Calabria; Sergei Denham's lack of artistic vision; Nina Novak and her ballet Variations classiques; Denham as a person; Julius Fleischmann; touring including problems that arose with the productions [ends abruptly but continues directly on streaming audio file 2].
