Ownership: Bought by John Preston for St. Augustine's abbey, Canterbury (strip of vellum, f. 1a, is ex libris); owned ca. 1733 by Maurice Johnson of Spalding. Given in 1909 by Dr. Robert Abbe.
Content: De Ricci, 1316-1317. Chart by Dr. G.B. Guest. Typed notes in manuscript box.
Content: 36 lines in two columns, ruled in pencil, prickings visible, some catchwords visible. Some content notes in lower margins. 17 quires of twelve folios each, followed by one quire of five folios.

Content: Opening initial with animal heads.
Content: 2-line red and blue initials with opposing color penwork extending into borders. Daubs of red as placemarkers. Passages underlined in red.
Content: De Ricci dates this manuscript to ca. 1300; Dr. Guest dates it to the 13th century.

Content: Modern note of contents f. ii. Folio 1a is a stub of vellum announcing purchase of book for St. Augustine's Canterbury. On f. 209v there is a poem in French which begins "Flour de flours columbine de mes dolours plain medicine."
