Content: 192 photographs of antiquities, mainly architecture and sculpture, from central Java, taken by Allen Atwell, Claire Holt, the Lembaga Purbakala dan Peninggalan Nasional (The National Archeological Institute of Indonesia), and Guy A. Weill. Sites represented are: Candi Banon, Candi Banyunibo, Bayat, Borobudur, Candi Ceta, Cupuwatu, the Dieng Plateau, Candi Gebang, Gedong Songo II, Gemuruh, Candi Kalasan, Klaten, Kretek, Kudus, Mantingan, Candi Mendut, Gunung Muria, Candi Nagasari, Candi Ngawen, Ngempanrejo, Candi Nusukan, Pati, Patianom, Candi Pawon, Pekalongan, Candi Perot, Pesindon, Candi Plaosan. (Note: The word "candi" denotes a temple).
Content: Of special interest to dance scholars are the dance sculptures at Borobudur.
