Content: Caption on back: "Part of the group of Negro troops which embarked last month on the first leg of a large peace-time overseas shipment from Hamilton Field, California, are shown above. Approximately 600 officers and enlisted men composed the movement, one of the largest shipments in recent years from the Overseas Replacement Depot at Hamilton. The initial part of the trip was by train to Fort Lawton, Washington. There the group was divided, some men embarked for Tokyo and others for Alaska. 10-10-47."
