Flag desecration
Content: "The Christmas holidays were approaching, and there was much hilarity at Murfreesborough. Jefferson Davis made a flying visit thither. There were wedding festivities, at one of which the warlike Bishop Polk officiated, and the guests danced upon a floor where the hated Union flag served for a carpet, that it might be literally and boastfully 'trampled upon.'"--from source text.
