Content: Printed on border: "Fig. 1. The front hair is arranged in smooth bandeaux on the forehead, descending at each side so as completely to cover the ears. The back hair is divided into several small twists, one of which is carried round the head in the manner of a turban. Below this twist are three rows of fancy French beads, of a lozenge form, in imitation pearl. A single row of the same beads passes along the back part of the head, intermingling with the twists." Written on border: "June 1849" Includes additional text. Foxing on image.
