Description
"Goldsmith's comic heroine could not have a more charming or impulsive representative. Miss Stirling has also tried her force in a modern play, and been found capable of maintaing her place a a competitor with an established favourite of the audience. As we have already remarked, she possesses much resemblance to her mother both in person and style, and, we think, partakes in no small degree of her peculiar fascination. Her vein is evidently a merry one, and she will shine best, we fancy, in decided comedy."--from source text.
