Notes
Content: Printed on border: "Despite the revelations of the German spy system in France in 1870-71 the Allies seem to have been unprepared for its developments in 1914. Our illustration is of an early-morning scene at Termonde, where one of the Kaiser's secret emissaries, detected in his treacherous work, met his death amidst the ruin wrought by his military masters in one of Belgium's industrial towns." Includes additional text.
