Notes
Content: Printed on border: "One of the most curious forms of ornament is that of which human hair is the material, and as this, besides being the only actual personal relic of those who, in the language of the Greeks, 'have gone before,' is practically indestructible, it will doubtless always be in demand. The methods of plaiting, weaving, and otherwise arranging hair are curious and exhibit much ingenuity, and some who occupy themselves with it are really artists in hair." Includes additional text.
Source note: Art industry : metal-work, illustrating the chief processes of art work applied by the goldsmith, silversmith, jeweller, etc. (London: Virtue, 1878) Yapp, George Wagstaff, Editor.
