Content: Printed on border: "Put them in the stocks and make them read the Constitution--and let later arrivals take warning." "J. Ottmann, Lith. Puck Building. N.Y."
Content: Written on border: "1889"
Content: Print shows six men with feet locked in stocks on the grounds of what may be a courthouse. Their attention is focused with surprised and suspicious expressions at a large document headed "Constitution of the United States". One has two folded documents sticking out of his pocket, labeled respectively "Rabid speech" and "Anarchist speeches". A crowd made up of identifiable ethnic types looks on. Tear at center right of border.
